Are there coal deposit like iron ingame?

As i played with my friend together i found Coal with my Scanner but i couldnt place the MK1 or the Coal Plant on it. The Only thing i could do was manually mine 87 coal.

How to automate coal and have infinitely coal deposit? Hope someone could explain me "How to Coal Plant work".

There are coal deposits which you can find with your scanner once you unlock the appropriate research (I think it's Tier 3?). This will unlock the coal generator as well.

There's also one-off coal buds scattered around which is probably what you found.

But how do i mine the coal like a iron ore vein? Putting an MK1 on it?

I found coal with the scanner but i couldnt build a MK1 or Coal Plant on it, only mining it with E until i got 87 Coal and than the coal was gone...

Yeah, their are two different kinds of deposits. The first one is what you mentioned. That's just a little collection which you have to mine manually. But their are also veins like iron/copper/etc. which you can find and place a miner on it. Keep looking around!

a vein like you found is not auto-minable.

a NODE is a big flat circle on the ground which can be mined automatically.
