I cannot tell you how many times I had to add extra room to my factory just to build some stairs or ramps to the next floor. Not to mention, using the ramps and walkways leaves a bit to be desired especially if you have them go to another floor, just to find out that the only way you could build them requires even MORE walkways so that you don't fly down the stairs because there are no railings.

And for those areas in between my machine lines, the little spaces between conveyors, constructors and smelters all packed together, you know the spot I'm talking about. That'd be a perfect ladder area! A ladder that could snap to walkways, now that's a dream!

Another thing, what about half foundations? We have 8x1, 8x2 and 8x4, what about 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4? I can't tell you how many times I've used the conveyor lifts only to have a huge area on the next floor empty because of them not filling out the space perfectly. I've had to mess around with walkways so that I don't fall off unexpectedly while optimizing factories. That sure is a killer in my time! (and body ahaha!).

Speaking of falling, how about we have railings that snap just like walkways? It'd help organizing and keeping unobservant visitors from ruining that perfect record of factory accidents now would it?

Just some thoughts and I hope that HR gets ahold of this and make production easier!

Partial foundations and railings are assets that have been unlockable in the game using a save file editor but not released (still buggy?)
