Hi Coffee Stain Team,

I watched this video about the nuclear power plant:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1CbfQ_pNG4

and I have also watched a video which deals with this future feature/content.

Here is screenshot of the description:

"Nuclear power plant
Consumes nuclear fuel rods to produce electrical energy.

Has a loading slot to automate fuel rods loading.

Nuclear fuel rods are build from mined uranium.

Produce up to 1000 MW electric capacity. Will produce atomic waste"

At the moment atomic waste are black barrels that can be put to trash

How will this work in the future?

In my opinion it wouldn't be challenging enough when atomic waste can be handled easily by just putting it in the trash.

Will there be some challenging tasks to solve this problem in the game, such as creating or searching for a final nuclear waste repository?

kind regards

Please wait till it's implemented into the game. ;) Things can change before it's actually in the game.

-DE: Bitte warte mit solchen fragen bis die im spiel sind. Es kann sich viel ändern bevor es wirklich im spiel erscheint.

You're not supposed to re-use it or destroy it. You're supposed to store it, as it is in game right now. It's very easy to create enough storage boxes to have 1+ year of real life play time worth of nuclear waste storage at the moment. Seeing as by the time you can build nuclear plants you have enough of everything else automated to literally have infinite resources and building materials. Having to deal with storing nuclear waste is the "Penalty" / draw back to going to nuclear power at the moment. It's not supposed to be "Free" with no byproduct, that would be way too easy. I know a lot of people "Don't like the waste" and find it annoying to deal with but.. that's the price of going nuclear. And it's super easy to mitigate.
